THE BLAYLOCK HISTORY
BIRKENHEAD/WIRRAL
|
I am a direct decendant of Alexander Blaylock the first registrar of Birkenhead who was married to Mary nee Meacock ( you can follow this link to the history of the Meacock family http://www.meacock.org/IntMeacock/index.htm ) Alexander had 3 sons and 2 daughters who I have so far discovered; my great grandfather John, Alexander Robert, Amelia and Isabel. There are questions still to be resolved about Susan and Mary Jane. Great grandfather John married Annie nee Walker had 5 children Alexander W, John, Gertrude, Alfred, and my grandfather Harold. John died at the comparatively early age of 41. John is interred in his fathers grave which was moved from St. Marys churchyard to Landican when Cammel Laird built the new dry dock in the late 50s early 60s. Grandfather Harold married Florence nee Prince had four children Harold James, Gertrude, Alexander my father, and George sadly only George is still living. Alexander my father married Rita nee Nicholl and had 2 sons Michael and myself Stephen. As stated sadly both my mother and father have both passed on. I married Susan nee Edwards and have two sons Paul Robert, Peter Charles neither yet married. Michael my brother married Susan nee Evans has 3 children Michelle(married Paul Sayer), Richard, and Michael Andrew. As I develop these pages I will be adding details of the other decendants of Alexander(the first) and will provide a family tree. If you feel that you can provide any information paricularly about any of the families mentioned or want further information please contact me steve@blaylocks.net |
